Choi Dong Wook (sinh ngày 9 tháng 11, 1984), được biết đến với nghệ danh Se7en, ca sĩ pop/R&B của Hàn Quốc. Anh bắt đầu làm trainer tại YG Entertainment từ năm 15 tuổi. Sau 4 năm, anh debut vào năm 2003.



Sự nghiệp


Se7en đã đi qua rất nhiều nước châu Á , nhất là Nhật Bản, Đài Loan, Thái Lan, và Hong Kong. Anh cũng đã biểu diễn một vài lần tại Mỹ, tại  Los Angeles (Grand Olympic and Hollywood Bowl), New York City (Madison Square Garden), và Washington DC (DAR Constitution Hall).

Anh cũng tham gia vào khá nhiều gameshow tại Hàn và Nhật, đóng nhiều quảng cáo cho Samsung's Anycall, Baskin Robbins, Coca Cola, LG Telecom, Sprite (directed by David Fincher)[3] và gần đây là K-SWISS[4] và KTvafANh cũng đã tổ chức 5 concer tại Nhật: 2005 tại Yokohama, năm 2006, hai  tại Tokyo và hai tại Osaka. Ngoài ra còn có 3 concert được tổ chức để quảng báo cho album "24/SE7EN" phát hành năm 2006, được tổ chức tại Seoul, Hàn Quốc. Anh cũng giành được giải thưởng ‘Most Popular Korean Singer’ tại MTV Asia Awards 2006 tổ chức ở Bangkok, Thái Lan, và  MTV Best Buzz Asia Award 2006.

Ngày 7 tháng 4, 2007, concert ‘747; được tổ chức tại Olympic Park Stadium, Seoul, đây cũng là hoạt động cuối cùng của anh tại Hàn trong năm 2007. Sau đó, Se7en bắt đầu tiến ra thị trường nước ngoài là Nhật Bản và Mỹ. Anh đã tổ chức một tour concert '7rhythm' tại Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya vào đầu tháng 7. Và năm 2009,Se7en chính thức debut tại Mỹ.


Debut tại Mỹ


Seven và  YG Family (gồm cả Big Bang,2ne1, Jinusean và Gummy) xuất hiện trên MTV K, tiếp theo đó là 3 concert tại Washington DC, New York City, và Los Angeles, để kỷ niệm 10 năm YG Family và cũng là thúc đẩy quảng bá cho Se7en trước khi chính thức debut tại Mỹ.

Se7en cũng tham gia vào album của ca sĩ người Mỹ Take Control, ‘Because I Love It’, được phát hành vào tháng 5, 2007. Bản remix này có cá version Asia.

Yang Hyun Suk, (CEO của YG Entertainment) thông báo rằng  Fabolous sẽ kết hợp trong single đầu tiên của Se7en tại Mỹ. Tuy nhiên, vào tháng 5, 2007 với ca khúc dự tính debut, "This is My Year" featuring Fabolous, được sản xuất bởi Rich Harrison và Lionell Davis bị rò rỉ trên Myspace và  YouTube, nên đã có chút thay đổi trong single debut của Se7en.

Se7en đã làm việc  với CEO của LaFace Records, Mark Shimmel và người từng chiến thắng giải  Grammy- Rich Harrison và Richcraft , nhà sản xuất cho Lionell Davis trong album đầu tiên của mình tại Mỹ. Một nhóm sản xuất mới với tên gọi Noize Trip, từng sản xuất cho Disco Club của  The Black Eyed Peas cũng làm việc chung với Se7en. Nhà sản xuất  Teddy  của 1TYM cũng cùng tham gia trong album lần này, cùng với đó còn có thêm Darkchild. Theo blog của Far East Movement, Three 6 Mafia cũng tham gia vào album tiếng Anh sắp tới.

YG Entertainment và Seven đã tiến những bước chắc chắn và cần thiết cho quá trình debut của Se7en cũng như tạo ra phong cách riêng cho Se7en tại thị trường Mỹ.

Se7en bắt đầu quảng bá cho album của mình bằng việc tổ chức  ‘party tour’ tại  Hiro Ballroom, New York City vào 14 tháng 3, 2008. 3 tracks trong album cũng đã được trình diễn tại buổi party hôm đó. Verizon Wireless là nhà tài trợ cho party của Se7en và sử dụng chữ lí của anh ấy cho mục đích từ thiện.

Ngày 10 tháng 3, single đầu  tiên của Se7en "Them Girls" featuring Lil' Kim đã được phát hành tại các cửa hàng cũng như trên các trang web , iTunes và Amazon MP3. MV  "Girls" cũng đã ra mắt cùng ngày trên Myspace

MV  "Girls" đã được chiếu trên  BET 106 & Park vào ngày 2 tháng 7, 2009.


Sự nghiệp diễn xuất


Se7en nhận lời đóng vai chính trong bộ phim Hàn, Goong S, được coi như phần tiếp theo của Goong. Tập đầu tiên đã phát sóng trêm MBC vào ngày 10 tháng 1, 2007, với mức rating trung bình của bộ phim là 9,7%.

Goong S đã trở thành bộ phim được tìm kiếm nhiều nhất và được xem lại nhiều nhất trên các trang web, cao hơn các đối thủ phát sóng cùng thời điểm là Dal Ja's Spring của KBS2 và Surgeon Bong Dal Hee của SBS. Bộ phim cũng nhận được nhiều sự ủng hộ của các khán giả nước ngoài như Mỹ, Thái Lan, , Malaysia, Brazil, Australia,và Singapore.

Se7en cũng tuyên bố là sẽ tiếp tục theo đuổi sự nghiệp diễn xuất trong tương lai gần. Anh nói rằng dù bộ phim không được thành công, nhưng nếu có cơ hội, anh ấy vẫn muốn được đóng phim. Anh ấy cũng gửi lời cám ơn đến toàn bộ đoàn làm phim đã giúp đỡ anh rất nhiều trong quá trình quay phim.


Giọng hát


Giọng hát của Se7en có thể được coi là giọng nam cao (tenor). Nó có thể được miêu tả là êm dịu, ngọt ngào và cũng rất mạnh mẽ qua "Crazy," "La La La," "Hikari" và "I Know”. Độ rung trong giọng hát của Se7en khá giống với nhiều ca sĩ R&B của Mỹ, và cũng rất mạnh mẽ trong ‘Passion’. Se7en cũng luôn giữ lời hứa của mình là không bao giờ lipsync khi biểu diễn.


Cuộc sống riêng tư


Năm 2009, Se7en chính thức tuyên bố là mình hẹn hò với nữ diễn viên Park Han buyl, từ khi họ còn học trung học.

Se7en và nhóm nhạc Big Bang, Super Junior đã đoạt các giải thưởng tại Singapore Entertainment Awards (SEA) tuần qua.


Theo trang web chính thức của SEA vào ngày thứ 2, Se7en đã mang về nhà giải thưởng cho Best Asia Performance, các thành viên Big Bang cùng công ty YG Entertainment với anh đoạt giải Most Popular Korean Artiste qua hệ thống bình chọn và Super Junior ghi nhận chiến thắng cho trang bìa U-Weekly Magazine được yêu thích nhất tại Sân vận động trong nhà Singapore vào ngày 2 tháng 4.


SEA là một lễ trao giải thường niên được tổ chức bởi tập đoàn truyền thông Singapore Press Holdings Ltd và công nhận những đại diện xuất sắc nhất trong âm nhạc, phim ảnh, TV, radio, concrt và các lĩnh vực khác của ngành giải trí trong khu vực Trung Quốc mở rộng.


Se7en tên thật là Choi Dong Wook, debut năm 2003 với album đầu tiên "Just Listen" và đã phát hành nhiều album khác tại Hàn Quốc và Nhật Bản. Gần đây anh đã phát triển sự nghiệp sang các quốc gia khác tại châu Á như Thái Lan, Trung Quốc, Singapore và Malaysia đẻ quảng bá album "Digital Bounce".
