Performances from MBC’s 2012 Korean Music Wave Concert in Bangkok, Thailand

On April 7th, Korea’s top artists traveled to Bangkok, Thailand to perform at the ‘2012 Korean Music Wave Concert in Bangkok‘ and on April 28th, MBC finally broadcasted the concert. The event was MC’ed by 2PM member and proud native of Thailand, Nickhun along with Girls’ Generation members Tiffany and Taeyeon.

The performance lineup featured an impressive lineup includingAfter School, miss A, 4minute, TVXQ, 2PM, B2ST, KARA, TEENTOP, T-ara, SHINee, IU, MBLAQ, FTISLAND, INFINITE, SISTAR, NORAZA, SECRET, and Boyfriend.

2PM’s Wooyoung celebrates his 23rd birthday

Today is 2PM member, Wooyoung‘s birthday!

On April 30, Wooyoung celebrated his birthday and uploaded a couple of photos onto his Twitter.  ”Thank you Thank you Thank you ^^ to all those, who congratulated my birthday“, he tweeted.

It seems like yesterday, when 2PM made their debut in 2008 with their first track, “10 out of 10“.  Time sure flies, doesn’t it?

It looks like Wooyoung got treated with lots of goodies, as he blew out candles from a fruit cake and…. a HamChoco (Hamburger + Choco Pie) cake?

Fans and Followers congratulated him with, “Wow your birthday cake looks delicious“, “Happy Birthday“, and “Ah~ So cute <3“.

Actor Kim Su Ro snaps a photo with 2PM

Actor Kim Su Ro posted a photo of himself with idol group 2PM, and tweeted, ”2PM is truly awesome. Even as a guy, I think they’re so cool! I’m so happy that we got to work together for ‘God of Victory‘!”

Fans who came across the photo commented, “When does ‘God of Victory’ air,” “Both my eyes and heart are delighted,” and  ”Kim Su Ro’s appearance isn’t lacking, even next to idol stars.”

In related news, MBC‘s ‘God of Victory’ shot its first episode on April 24th at a gym in Seoul.

Details on 2PM’s Japanese single “Beautiful”

2PM has released the track list for their 4th Japanese single “Beautiful“, which will be released this June 6th along with a B-side track composed by member Junho called “If You Are Here“.

A “Hi-5 event” for fans who buy the single will be held at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall on June 16th.

2PM dominates the hit model chart on TVCF

2PM has swept the endorsement model ranking chart of Korea’s greatest advertisement portal site.

Advertisement portal site TVCF recently revealed their hit model chart, and the 1st place spot went to 2PM, 2nd Nichkhun, 3rd Taecyeon, 5th Wooyoung, 6th Junho, 7th Chansung, and 9th Junsu. With 7 out of the top 10 spots held by 2PM, some say that they have taken over the chart. Last December’s ranking was 1st Nichkhun, 2nd 2PM, and 10th Taecyeon, and this recent chart shows that since then, the 2PM members have become more in-demand commercial models.

TVCF’s model ranking is done daily using all the commercials aired in the past twelve months.

On top of dominating 7 spots out of 10 on the hit chart, they also ranked on the ‘average ranking chart’ with 2PM ranking 3rd, Taecyeon ranking 5th, and Nichkhun coming in at 6th. 2PM has shown their power, proving that they are currently some of the most loved advertisement models in the nation.

JYP Entertainment stated, “2PM’s various images and activities have gotten them many love calls from advertisement agencies. On top of that, each member has their own unique color so individual members are gaining interest as well.”

On another note, 2PM is currently preparing for the ‘Budokan 6 days‘ concert in Japan, which is scheduled for the end of May. The concert is expected to pull in an audience of 90,000.

Wooyoung reveals his birthday present from Chansung

Wooyoung, who celebrated his 23rd birthday earlier this week on April 30th, revealed the birthday present he received from 2PM‘s youngest member Chansung.

On May 5th, Wooyoung tweeted, “I received my birthday present from Chansung today. I was seriously so scared of it at first, but it is so lovable now. Thanks Chansung!”

The picture attached to Wooyoung’s tweet revealed that Chansung gave Wooyoung a gigantic white tiger doll for his birthday. He also added a photo of himself growling next to his new tiger companion.

One follower commented, “What would you use that for?” to which Wooyoung replied, “Hmm… sometimes as a watchdog for my room, a chair, a table, etc…oh right, a doll!”

Chansung and Nichkhun snap a photo with a dog while on set

Idol group  2PM‘s Chansung snapped a photo with a dog while preparing for a shoot for a program.

On May 5th, Chansung tweeted “I came to the set and found this lovable and affectionate kid. He’s a bit big but he’s so cute! Haha we took a photo together keke.”

The photo attached to Chansung’s tweet showed Chansung smiling with his arm around an adorable black dog with Nichkhun smiling in the back ground.

Netizens commented, “The dog’s eyes are so pretty!”  and “You guys kind of look-alike.”

2PM sells out their ’6 Beautiful Days’ Japanese tour

2PM has completely sold out their first Japanese tour!

The boys are scheduled to meet with thousands of fans at the Budokan for their ‘6 Beautiful Days‘ concert, which will be held for six days starting May 24th through the 31st. With the opening of tickets sales, every single seat was reported to have sold out.

Not only that, but the additional concert dates at the Yokohama Arena on June 5th and 6th, which were originally added at the request of fans, also sold out as well! The additional concert dates will seat an extra 20,000 fans, making the grand total to 90,000 fans that have signed up for a dose of 2PM.

2PM’s already completed an arena tour the size of 100,000 audience members back in December, which also included two extra concert dates.

The boys’ upcoming Yokohama concert will be all the more meaningful due to the day being the release of their fourth single, ‘Beautiful’, which previously topped Japan’s digital chart, Recochoku.
